“The Crown” actress Vanessa Kirby is one of the high profile actors taking on new unabridged recordings of Philippa Gregory’s Tudor novels as HarperCollins celebrates Love Audio. Meanwhile “Downton Abbey” actress Joanne Froggatt will narrate Adele Parks’ upcoming thriller.

Kirby will be joined by Alex Kingston of “Doctor Who” and “The Hobbit” actor Richard Armitage in narrating Gregory’s novels, HarperCollins revealed following Love Audio’s launch on Monday (11th June). The annual celebration of audiobooks also saw figures from the Publishers Association which showed that audio downloads had risen a significant 22% last year.

Kirby, who will narrate The Other Boleyn Girl, revealed that she has been “a fan of Philippa Gregory’s work for many years and so I was thrilled by the opportunity to bring Mary Boleyn’s incredible story to life in audiobook”.

Billed as “a tale of jealousy, betrayal and revenge”, I Invited Her In will be published on the 20th September in paperback original with an r.r.p. of £7.99, the e-book will retail at £5.99, and the audio version will cost £12.99.
